Bobby Allen Maggard, Sr. – Nickelsville, VA
Bobby Allen Maggard, Sr. 80, passed away, Thursday, January 29, 2015 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Bobby was born in Dorton, KY on September 8, 1934, a son of the late Sam and Susan Boggs Maggard.
In addition to his parents, his sons, Terry Allen Maggard, Patrick James Maggard (PJ), Ronnie Maggard, and Bobby Maggard, Jr.; grandchildren, Roger Maggard, Jr. (Boomer) and Edna Scott; and brothers, Willie Lee Maggard and Lowell Thomas Maggard preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Ramey Maggard; daughters, Judy Kelly, Lisa McMillan, and Sharon Dougherty; son, Roger Maggard; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; his faithful companion, Little Boy Bear Dog; a special nephew, Butch Maggard; best friend, Walter Burke; along with several other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Nickelsville, VA with Rev. Steve Collins officiating. The Scott County Community Choir will provide the music.
