Mack was a simple man who loved a simple life. He loved his family and showed them love through a giving heart. Farming was his true passion in life, and he enjoyed countless hours mowing many hayfields, and working cattle. He enjoyed many conversations at both places that turned strangers into lifelong friends.

Carmel, TN, and Doug ( Faye) Pierson, Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-6p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 6:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Sanders, and Pastor Travis Pierson officiating. Pendletons Chapel Church singers will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00p.m., Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Qualls Cemetery, Duffield, VA, on the family farm “The Ponderosa”. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:15a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
