Lucy Viola (Haga) Fox – Nickelsville, VA

Lucy Viola (Haga) Fox, 81, Nickelsville, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Lucy was born in Wythe County, VA, on April 1, 1941, to the late Henry Fred and Pearl Ettabelle Campbell Haga.

Along with her parents, Lucy’s husband, William Fox; son, James Fox; sisters, Vivian Haga, Frances Haga, and Marie Haga; and brothers, Edgar and Cecil Haga preceded her in death.

Lucy is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Greg) Johnson, and Brenda Fox; sons, Johnny Fox, Dean (Norma) Fox, and Billy Fox; sisters, Sarah Hill, Rebecca Haga, and Margaret Crigger; grandchildren, Jason Burton, and Jessica King; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Lydia Pearl, and Theodore; special friends, Walt Smith, and Robert Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Sunday,  February 19, 2023, at the Gate City Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Cowden Cemetery, Fort Blackmore, VA, with Greg Carico officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the Cowden Cemetery at 12:45 p.m., Sunday for the graveside service.
