Lynn Loggans – Gate City, VA
Lynn Loggans, 81, of Gate City, VA, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at his home in Gate City, VA. He was born in Washington County, VA June 4, 1932 to Norman V. and Vivian Branson Loggans.
In addition to his parents, Lynn is preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Ann Loggans and sister-in-law, Linda Lou Duncan.
He is survived by two sons; Patrick L. Loggans and wife Lisa of Gate City, VA and M. A. "Tony" Loggans of Yuma, VA.; grandchildren; Rachael N. Loggans Bagienski, Patrick Scott Loggans, Toni B. Loggans, Rebecca McKinley Loggans and Autumn Lynn Loggans; brother; Norman Terry Loggans and wife Connie of Columbus, GA; sisters-in-law; Mary Catherine Williams of Oak Ridge, Tn, Betty Jo Wilhelm of Bloomingdale TN, and Ellen Jane Bowen of Gate City, VA; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
The Loggans family will receive friends Sunday, June 9, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home. A Masonic funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Gate City Masonic Catlett Lodge # 35 AF & AM officiating and Pat Loggans and Tony Loggans delivering the eulogies.
Graveside service for Mr. Loggans will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. Terry Frazier, Jeff Frazier, Mark Blanton, Tim Wells, Sammy Bellamy, Gene Bellamy, Robbie Wilhelm and Blu Castle will serve as pallbearers. Russell Powers, Bill Carter, Mike Taylor, Woody Duncan, Johnny Williams, Ray Wilhelm, Chris Williams, David Williams and Wendlel Snapp will serve as honorary Pallbearers. The family will meet at the cemetery.
