Maude Arwood Leonard, 88, Kingsport TN entered into rest October 9, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital.
She was born in Scott County, VA on October 21, 1927 to the late William (Bill) Ballard and Mary Relzie (Bledsoe) Arwood.
Maude is preceded in death by her husband, M. H. (Speedy) Leonard; sister, Guy Nell Miller and brother, Junior Arwood.
She is survived by her son, Gary Leonard, Johnson City, TN; daughter, Joan Leonard Hobbs and husband, Kerry, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Nathan Hobbs and Jared Hobbs; Jason Leonard and Alice Maden; great grandsons Titus Hobbs, Chase and John Maden; special niece, Darla Miller, Gate City, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p. m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Tony Ellis officiating.
Burial will follow at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family will serve as pallbearers.
