Helen LaForce Leonard Hiltons, VA
Helen LaForce Leonard, 84, Hiltons, VA passed away, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at her residence surrounded by family.
Mrs. Leonard was born in Scott Co, VA on July 26, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Alice Kimbler LaForce. She was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband Ray Everett Leonard, son, Chris Leonard, preceded her in death.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Thompson and husband, Larry, Berea, KY, Denise Harris, Gate City, VA, and Kim Kyst and husband, Paul, Jefferson, GA; son, Ray Leonard, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Darren Parker and wife, Heather, Tyler Thompson and wife, Jenn, Mike Harris and wife, Emily, Shannon Hartsock and husband, Jason, Brittany Mays and husband, Tony, Chelsea Kyst, and Christian Kyst great grandchildren, Alexandria, Evan, Christopher, Stephen, Grace, Conley “Little Man”, Katelyn and A J; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Will Shewey and Pastor Layton Bentley officiating. Hello Stranger will provide the music.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November, 7, 2016 at Oak Hill Memorial Gardens. Christian Kyst, Mike Harris, Jason Hartsock, Tony Mays, Tyler Thompson and Darren Parker will serve as pallbearers. Chase Harris, Josh Harris, Kris Lane and Nathan Begley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 a.m.
