Julie Lucille Lawson, 85, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 21, 2012, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
Lucille was born in Scott County, Virginia on January, 17, 1927 to the late James and Nora Dockery Lane.
She was a born again Christian and was a proud member of Midway Baptist Church. Lucille loved family and friends, gardening and sitting on the front porch with her beloved Husband, Charles.
In addition to her parents,her husband, Charles H. Lawson (Feb. 2012) her brothers, Edward Lane, Burian Lane, and Fred Lane and sister , Jane Ingle preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by daughters, Nancy Perry and husband, Scotty, Judith Pierson and husband, Gray; Son, Charles Lawson, Jr., and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Lisa Kincer and husband, Mike, Sherry Lane and husband, Everette, James Pierson and wife, Jan, Jason Perry and wife, Stephanie, Jeremy Lawson, and Shane Lawson; great grandchildren, Amanda Calton and husband, Gabe, Emily Egan and husband, Josh, Connor Pierson, Phebe Lane, Hannah Lane, Amy Perry, and Ryan Perry; great great grandsons, Levi Calton, Ezekiel Charles Calton, and Jaden Egan; Sister, Ethel Frazier; brothers, Billy Lane and James Lane and wife, Gracie; special brother-in-law, Lucian Lawson and wife, Ina, Ft. Blackmore, VA; Special Care Givers, Brenda Salling, Esta Elliott, and Rita Sizemore along with many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home, and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. George Willis, Jr. and the Rev. Gary Elliott officiating. Midway Melody will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Lawson Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
