Dustin Michael Lawson, 20, Weber City, VA died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.
Dustin was born in Sullivan County, TN on August 6, 1991 to Gail Lawson and Hank Jennings.
Dustin is survived by his mother, Gail Lawson, Kingsport, TN; father and step mother, Hank and Patricia Jennings, Gate City, VA; his fiancé, Elizabeth Reed, Weber City, VA; maternal grandparents, Jim and Linda Woods, St. Paul, VA, Donald Lawson, Kingsport, TN, and Emmitt and Diane Rhoton, Nickelsville, VA; paternal grandparents, Henry and Theda Jennings, Gate City, VA; great grandmother, Ada Rhoton, Surgoinsville, TN; and half brother, Aaron Smith, Castlewood, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2012 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Paul Brickey officiating. Music will be provided by The Master's Will.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the Carter Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Donnie Lawson, Tim Woods, Tyler Lumpkins, Junior Bledsoe, Michael Rhoton, and Kenny Woods will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m., Saturday for the graveside service.
Donations may be made to the Dustin Lawson Memorial Fund for Elizabeth Reed and baby at the Bank of Scott County.
