Linda Lane – Duffield, VA
Linda Sue (Bledsoe) Lane, 62, Duffield, VA passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Sullivan County, TN on October 2, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Dewey and Mae Bledsoe.
She attended Red Hill Memorial Church.
Linda worked at Norris Industries for twenty-one years, and was employed by Tempur Pedic in Duffield for the last fifteen years.
In addition to her parents, her infant daughter, Karen Sue Lane preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Herman Lane, Duffield, VA; sons, Joshua Edward Lane and Jason Herman Lane, both of Duffield, VA; grandchildren, Jasmine, Hannah, and Jonathon Lane, all of Ft. Blackmore, VA; sisters, Joyce Austin and husband, Earl, Duffield, VA and Cathy Scalf and husband, Vanus, Gate City, VA; brother, James Bledsoe, Duffield, VA along with special nieces and nephews, Christopher Austin, Kristen Austin, Justin Austin, Jeremy Scalf, Savannah Scalf, and Junior Bledsoe; and a very special friend, Stephanie Reynolds, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley and Pastor Chuck Grimm officiating. David and Tara Jo Dillion will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Lane/Rhoton Cemetery, Duffield, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Ridgecrest Manor, Duffield, VA and to all the doctors and nurses at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for the excellent care and love provided.
