Donald B. Lane (Billy), Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Monday, September 12, 2022, at Ridgecrest Manor, Duffield, VA.
Donald was born in Ft. Blackmore, VA on June 5th, 1946, to the late Ira and Nora Lane.
In addition to his parents, his brothers, Edward Lane, Burin Lane, and Fred Lane, sisters, Lucille Lawson, and Nellie (Jan) Ingle preceded him in death.
He retired from the Kingsport Press after working there many years.
He is survived by one sister, Ethel Fraysier; one brother, James Lane (Gracie); a special niece, Nancy Perry; special nephews, Burin Lane, Jr., and Jim Lane; along with many other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the Lane Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA with the Rev. Gene Stallard officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
