Anthony Marshall (Huck) Lane, 37, Ft. Blackmore, VA went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Anthony was born in Sullivan County, TN on August 25, 1974, the son of Pansy Lorraine Darnell and the late Howard Blaine Lane.
He was the loving husband of Vickie, who loved his children and his family with all his heart. He loved to hunt, fish, and be outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Lane, Ft. Blackmore, VA; daughters, Shaunna Marchelle' and Savannah Brooke'; son, Zackery Russell; mother, Pansy Lorraine Darnell, Coeburn, VA; step father, Howard Darnell, Dungannon, VA; sisters, Debra Cordle and husband, Randy, Nickelsville, VA, Norma Gibson and husband, Jim, Gate City, VA, Michelle Hunley and husband, James, Ft. Blackmore, VA, and Leslie Darnell, Coeburn, VA; brothers, Mickey Lane and wife, Rachel, Gate City, VA, Teddy Darnell and wife, Ollie, Gate City, VA, Rev. Jimmy Darnell and wife, Laura, Weber City, VA, James Lane and wife, Della, Dungannon, VA, Junior Darnell, Dungannon, VA, and Charles Lane, Big Stone Gap, VA; mother-in-law, June Varney; brother-in-law, Anthony Rose; special friends, John Brickey, Sr. and John Brickey, Jr.; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home and at the residence of his mother, Pansy Darnell in Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmy Darnell and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Midway Melody and Second Coming will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Sexton Cemetery in the Flatwoods community of Scott County, VA. Steven Baker, Matthew Baker, Teddy Darnell, Junior Darnell, Danny Ray Laney, and James Lane will serve as pallbearers. Marty Sexton, Homer Sexton, David Sexton, Elmer Sexton, and Anthony Rose will serve as honorary pallbearers.
