PORT ORANGE FLA — Louise King, 66 of Port Orange, Fla passed away unexpectedly Sunday (May 13, 2012)

Louise was a member of Central Baptist Church. She retired from Daytona State College, where she was Director of Cosmetology.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Elliott, her father Clive "Gag" Elliott, and a special niece, Caitlyn Duncan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Jim King, daughter Angela Harley and grandson Kyler Harley (who she loved to shop for) of Bristol, three sisters Sandra and husband Walter Porter of Weber City, Carolyn and husband James Flanary of Richmond, VA Sharon and husband Darrell Duncan of Kingsport. Brothers in law, Phil King and wife Joyce and Del King both of Tullahoma, TN; two nephews, Terry Porter and Mark Flanary.

The family will receive friends from 5 — 7 Friday, May 18, 2012 at Gate City Funeral home and at other times at the residence of her sister Sharon & Darrell Duncan. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 pm in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Hanshew and Rev. Joe Barber officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery. Darrell Duncan, Kyler Harley, Brian Shaw, Terry Porter, Phil King and Del King will serve as pallbearers. Walter Porter James Flanary and Mark Flanary will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 12:15 to go in procession to the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to: Caitlyn Duncan Memorial Scholarship, and mailed to Dobyns Bennett High School Band Boosters P.O. Box 7265, Kingsport, TN 37664.
