Franklin Delano Ketron, 88, Kingsport, TN passed away, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his residence.
Franklin was born in Scott County, VA on January 30, 1934, and was the son of the Virgil I. and Susan Ruth (Bays) Ketron.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and later a member of the Tennessee National Guard.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Shirley Marlene Ketron, and brothers, Elwood and Elmo Ketron preceded him in death.
Franklin is survived by his daughter, Sherry Ketron, son, Hank (Brenda) Ketron, grandchildren, Hannah Ketron and Rebecca (Dylan) Pleasant, great grandson, Carter Pleasant, sister, JoAnn Woods, along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Herman Cemetery, East Carter’s Valley, Scott County, VA with Brother Ed McClain officiating.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Herman Cemetery at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday for the graveside service.
