Clara Ketron of Hiltons, VA went home to be with her Lord, at the age of 99, February 14, 2011. She was born in Scott County on December 2, 1912 to John and Belle McMurray. She was a member of the New Hurland Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Belle Taylor McMurray and father, John McMurray. She is also preceded by her brothers Sherman McMurray, Whorley McMurray, Lindsey McMurray and Randel McMurray and sister Hester Taylor.
She is survived by her sister Zella E. McMurray Dominick of South Carolina. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Clara will be Friday February 18, 2011 at Gate City Funeral Home in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Services will be held Saturday February 19, 2011 at the New Hurland Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with graveside service immediately following at the McMurray family cemetery with Pastor Fred Robinette and Rex McMurray officiating.
