Barbara Faye Keith, 67, Nickelsville, VA passed away, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Wellmont Hospice, Bristol, TN.
Mrs. Keith was born in Russell County, VA on February 21, 1948. She was the daughter of Maxie Salyer Jessee.
She is survived by her husband, Delmis Elmore “Modie” Keith, Nickelsville, VA; daughter, Dorothy Meade, Kingsport, TN; mother, Maxie Salyer Jessee, Nickelsville, VA; grandson, Hunter Chase Meade, Nickelsville, VA; sister, Mary Lou Gordon and husband, Robert, Fayetteville, WVA; and nieces, Kayla Gordon and Pamela Gordon.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Garry Hood and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. D.C. and Mary Hass will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Grassy Creek Cemetery, Russell County, VA with Rev. Henry Wayne Meade officiating. Jarvis Vicars, Vern Mays, Bobby Joe Horne, Ronnie Hood, Ronnie Wheatley, and Billy Byington will serve as pallbearers. Wayne Sanders, Howard Arrington, Harold Jennings, Larry “Ike” Johnson, Jerry “Flip” Vicars, and Gene Kegley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
