James Earl Justice, 73, entered into rest August 6, 2009 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA.
Born October 5, 1935 in Scott County, VA., he was the son of the late Howard and Iona Thompson Justice. He was retired from Robinette Trucking.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mary Jane Justice; granddaughter, Jennifer Justice, and brother, Garland Eugene Justice.

He is survived by his daughters, Ellen Wright and husband, Roy, Church Hill, TN, Billie Jo Dockery, Church Hill, TN and Cena Iona Marshall and husband, Tim, Church Hill, TN; sons, Larry Justice and wife, Jodie, Duffield, VA, and Henderson Justice and wife, Ashley, Duffield, VA; grandchildren, Casey Justice, Adam Justice and wife, Kristin, Julia Dockery, and Amanda Wright; one great grandchild expected January 20th; one sister, Maggie Taylor, IN; lifelong friend, Geraldine "Jerri" Lucas; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other time at the residence of his daughter, Billie Jo Dockery. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Kyle Akers officiating. A eulogy will be given by Greg Lucas and music will be provided by New Vision.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Tim Marshall, Adam Justice, Casey Justice, Ronnie Dockery, Greg Lucas, Phil Justice, Billy Taylor, Bobby Taylor, and Dustin Taylor will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
