Judy Ann Gillenwater – Dungannon, VA

Judy Ann Gillenwater, 60, Dungannon, VA, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at her residence.

Judy was born in Dungannon, VA, on May 7, 1963, to the late Carl Howington, and Rachel (Ramsey) Howington.

In addition to her parents, her stepdaughter, Pam Maggard; sisters, Betty Stallard, Dorothy Trivett, and an infant sister preceded her in death.  

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Clifford Gillenwater, Dungannon, VA; daughters, Crystal Gilliam (Brian), and Christina Lane; son, Joe Gillenwater (Andrea); grandchildren, Nathaniel Gilliam, Elaina Gilliam, Kierstan Gilliam, Jarred Maggard, Cheyenne Lane, and Andy Lane; sisters, Linda (Don) Lane, and Sara Culbertson; brother, Milford “Bo” Howington; special niece and caregiver, Natasha Culbertson; special friend Mick Hunt; and several nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Dungannon, Dungannon, VA. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., with Rev. Larry Beavers officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Corder Cemetery, Dungannon, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00p.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gate City Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
