Joshua Brandon Gibson, 35, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023.

Joshua was born in Kingsport, TN, on July 27, 1987, and was the son of Gale Ray Gibson and Patricia (Jones) Gibson.

Preceding him in death are his paternal grandfather George “Lidge” Gibson; maternal grandfather, Billy Carter; grandmother, Geraldine Carter; and cousin, Eddie Lee Gibson.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother and father, Gale, and Patricia (Jones) Gibson, Ft. Blackmore, VA; paternal grandmother, Eunice Kate Gibson, Ft, Blackmore, VA; daughter, Jasmine, Renee Gibson, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sister, Brittney Dingus (Mark), Clinchport, VA; brother, Timothy Ray Gibson, and fiancé, Kayla Sams; niece, Cadie Gibson; and nephews, Caleb Dingus, and Blake Gibson.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. George Gibson and Michael Gibson officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00p.m., on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Gibson Cemetery, Alley Valley, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15p.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
