Ashley Nicole Vanzant Jones – Kingsport, TN
Ashley Nicole Vanzant Jones, 27, Kingsport, TN, passed away, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Ashley was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 15, 1988 to Randall and Jane Vanzant.
Ashley is preceded in death by her grandmother, Emma Florene Harr and Papaw, Junior Gibson.
Surviving are her daughters, Erin Danielle Jones and Addison Baylee Jones of Kingsport, TN, father, Randall Vanzant and wife, Myara of Kingsport, TN, mother, Jane Vanzant of Kingsport, TN, very special Pop, David Dean of Kingsport, TN, sister, Brandy Craft of Gate City, VA, brothers, William Vanzant of Kingsport, TN, and David S. Dean of Kingsport, TN, Papaw, John Harr of Kingsport, TN, grandmother, Monnie Gibson of Daniel Boone, VA, several uncles and aunts and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home. The funeral service for Ashley will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Cory Brooks and Matthew Vanzant officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Ramsey Cemetery in Dungannon, VA. David Dean, William Vanzant, David Shannon Dean, Jonath Harr, Jason Harr and Donnie Harr will serve as pallbearers. Jon Harr will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. to go in procession for the graveside service.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the nursing staff of the 3rd floor of Wilcox Hall of Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for the excellent and loving care they gave to Ashley throughout her battle with cancer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Gate City Funeral Home in honor of Ashley.
