Jewel Mae (Webb) Jones – Gate City, VA

Jewel Mae (Webb) Jones, 90, Gate City, VA, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at her residence.

Born and raised in Alley Valley, on November 18, 1932, Jewel was the daughter of the late Robert Lee, and Emily Elizabeth (Craft) Brickey Webb.

Jewel was a loving wife, sister, and aunt. Her hobby was raising bees, and making honey, to which she donated the proceeds to the First Baptist Church of Weber City, where she was a long-time member.  

In addition to her parents, her husband, William E. “Buck” Jones, Jr., brother-in-law, Roy L. Jones, brother, Robert L. Webb, Jr., and several half brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Bernice Jones, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00p.m., Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA, with Rev, Justin Smith officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15p.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
