Michael Jessee, 36, Dungannon, VA passed away, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Michael was born in Sullivan County, TN on October 24, 1982 to James Richard Lee Jessee and Patty Jo (Frazier/Jessee) Greear.
Preceding him in death are, his maternal and paternal great-grandparents; step-grandfather, Earnest Greear; aunt, Dorothy Greear; uncles, Lester Frazier and Clinton Allen Frazier;
Surviving is his father; Richard Jessee and wife Tina, Gate City; mother, Patty Greear and husband Mike, Dungannon; paternal grandparents, Elmer Grady and Frances Jessee; Duffield, Maternal grandparents, Harold and Norma Frazier; Duffield; step-grandparents, Lillian Greear, Bernice Miller, Gary and Brenda Falin; sister, Tina French and husband Chad, Wise; brothers, Tyler Jessee, Duffield and Steve Greear, Coeburn; special uncle Cecil Jessee, Kingsport; uncles, Rick Frazier and wife Jeanie, Duffield, Ernest Greear Jr., Coeburn, Tony Greear and wife Linda, Coeburn; aunts and second mothers, Kathy Miller and husband Carlos, Duffield, Tammy Jessee Mason, Kingsport; aunts, Barbara Dalton, Newport News and Patricia Frazier, Manville; nieces, Autumn Holbrook, Meera Jessee, baby girl Jessee; nephew Aiden French; special cousins that helped him until the end, Allison Lawson, Jimmy Jessee, Christine Jessee, and Angela Fellers.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Bro. Jackie Frazier and Rev. Joe Hill officiating. Chris Holder and Journey Home will be providing the music.
Burial will follow the service at 3:00p.m. at Holston View Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Cancer Society in Michael’s honor.
