Esta Mae Jessee, 73, Duffield, VA passed away Thursday, July29, 2010 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home
Ms.Jessee was born in Scott County, VA on June 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Lee Jessee and Minnie Jessee Kinnison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Hartsell, brothers, Sterlin and William Jessee, grandson, Dustin Jessee, brother-in-law, Ray Hass, and sister-in-law, BerniceJessee.
Surviving is her son, James Jessee, granddaughter, Allison Jessee Byrd and husband, James "Homer" Byrd, grandson, Jonathan Jessee, great granddaughters, Sara Byrd and Nevaeh Byrd, brothers, Cecil Jessee and wife, Marie, Joe Jessee and wife, Helen, Elmer Jessee and wife, Francis, Otis Jessee and wife, Ann, and Bob Jessee and wife, June, sister-in-law, Joan Jessee , special friend, Judy Jessee Hass, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Delmoe Jessee officiating. Ted and Della S parkman and Ronnie Addison will provide the music.
Burial will follow the services at the Cox's Chapel Church Cemetery in the Mabe community of Duffield, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
