Charlotte Diane (Tipton) Ison, 65, Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday August 9, 2018 at home.
Charlotte was born October 28, 1952. Proceeded in death by her late husband of 20 years Kyle T. Ison, parents Ezra and Nannie (Bishop) Tipton, sisters infant Betty Tipton, Jane Arnold, Ruth Hensley, and brother Howard Tipton.
She left to cherish in her sweet memory her fiancé Gilbert Begley of 22 years; daughter, Renae Poole (Jeff); son, Allen Ison (Melissa); brothers, Bill Pat Tipton (Shirley), Paul (Cricket) Tipton, and best friend Shirley Whiten.
The Lord blessed her with 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, Matt Ison (Sydney), Courtney, Blake Poole, Briana Starnes (JT), Lakyn, Lydia, and Elijah Ison, 1 great-grandchild Kyleigh Ison, several nieces and nephews, adopted daughter Ashley Sloan, adopted grandkids Phoebe and Cameron Begley along with several other adopted grandchildren.
Blake Poole, Matt Ison, Brandon Hensley, Scott Hensley, Ricky Tipton, Tim Tipton, Greg Tipton, Joey Begley will be serving as pallbearers. David Perkins and Mike Gilliam will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at any family residence. Funeral services will be conducted at Monday, August 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Robbie Dockery, and Gary Adkins and special singers.
Burial will be following at Holston view cemetery.
