Imogene Qualls Jennings

Imogene Qualls Jennings, 96, was born May 29, 1927, in Scott County, VA. She gained her heavenly body on January 21, 2024.
She was a wife, mom, granny, aunt, sister, and friend to many. She instilled in her family the importance of being able to provide for themselves by teaching them perseverance in hard times and gratefulness in good times.
Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob Joe” Jennings; her parents Frank and Estella Qualls; sons, Steven Ryan Jennings, and Timothy Jay Jennings; daughter, Muriel Jennings Sickmen; sons-in-law, Walter Sickmen and Jack Adams; brothers, J.D. Qualls, C.D. Qualls, Edward Qualls, and Gerald Qualls; sisters, Mable Qualls, Anne Mae Hall, Novenia Smith, Nancy Sizemore, Stella June Qualls, and one infant baby girl.
Surviving are her children, Robert Michael (Leona) Jennings, Martha (Bill) Vermillion, Mary (Terry) Stout, and Patricia Jennings; grandchildren, Daniel (Donna) Vermillion, Michael (Shawna) Vermillion, Morgan (B.J.) Snodgrass, Jennifer (Daniel) Collier, Joseph (Rebecca) Adams, Laura Jane Jennings, John Paul (Berkley) Stout and Logan Jennings; twenty great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11-1:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Bob Cloud officiating. Matthew and Loren Gibson will provide the music.
Graveside services will follow at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
