Wanda Estep Hyder – Ft. Blackmore, VA
Wanda Estep Hyder, 63, Ft. Blackmore, VA left her pain filled body and went home to be with her Savior on September 9, 2010, surrounded by her family at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Elizabethton, she is the daughter of Helen Renwick and the late Sidney Estep.
She was a loving wife, a precious mother and an always spoiling "Mamaw Trinke" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The void is great, but we will take comfort in knowing we will meet her in Heaven.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Rev. Dan Hyder; children, Cheryl and Denny Ray "Tommy" Babb, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Linda and Jeff Calloway, Dan Jr. and Amy Hyder and Rob and Lisa Hyder, all of Hampton; grandchildren, Leslie Brooke and Adam Bowers, Ryan and Jake Babb and Kye Ali Hale and Tommy Dockery and wife, Julia, all of Ft. Blackmore, VA, Jessica Powers, Colt Calloway, Jared, Madison, Nick and Katrina Hyder and Harley Hyder, all of Hampton; great grandchildren, Demaine Napier, Britney and Austin Ball, Ava Faith Sherill and Ariel and Nathaniel Dockery; her brother, Richard Harmon, Knoxville, TN and "Bonnie", her favorite feline.
The family will be receiving friends at the residence of Cheryl and Denny Ray "Tommy" Babb.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Holston View cemetery with the Rev. Wallace Amos officiating. Her grandsons and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
