William Edward Husted, 75, passed away August 8, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center
following an extended illness.
He was born January 27, 1934 in Lapel, IN and is a son of the late Edward Everett "snake" Husted and l. Irene "Toots" Husted.
Mr. Husted served in the United States Navy in 1954, served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954-1960. Retired from General Motors in March 14, 1994 and has been a Certified Barber since June 1st of 1961. Lived in Lapel, IN most of his life until 1998 when he and his wife relocated to Blackwater, VA.
Mr. Husted is survived by his wife of 41 years, Beverly Sue Husted, Blackwater, VA. Two children, a daughter, Terri Sue Gibson of Duffield, VA. and a son, Chad Edward Husted of Frankton, IN.
One brother, Ronald K. Husted, Lapel, IN. and two sisters, Judy Wolski, Indianapolis, IN., and Debbie Brisseden of Anderson, IN. Three grandchildren, Audrianna Faye Jennings, Duffield, VA., Hayley Paige Husted, Fishers, IN., and Jeffery William Gordon Jennings, Duffield, VA.
Along with several nieces and nephews and many friends of the Fairview and Lapel Communities.
Visitation will be held in Lapel, IN on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the Scott E. Hersberger
Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held after the visitation at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel, IN. by the American Legion Bartholomew-Whetsel Post #212 of Lapel, IN.
