Calvin “Bud” Hunnicutt, 87, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Friday, August 9, 2019 at his residence.
Bud was born on February 29, 1932 in Knoxville, TN, and was the son of the late Claude Calvin and Margaret Aline (Patrick) Hunnicutt.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and was the former owner of Bud’s Gun and Pawn, Weber City, VA.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Kathryn (Bump). Hunnicutt; sister, Margaret Jones, and brother, Jack Hunnicutt preceded him in death.
Bud is survived by his daughters, Susan Hunnicutt, Ft. Blackmore, VA and Nancy Hunnicutt Shaw and husband, John, Huntersville, N.C.; and granddaughters, Juliana and Gabrielle Shaw.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m., Tuesday to go in procession to the graveside service.
