Billy Ray Hughes, 77, Lebanon, VA passed away, Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Ridgecrest Manor, Duffield, VA.
Mr. Hughes was born August 6, 1936 to the late Bill and Gussie Hughes.
Billy Ray farmed and hauled milk for many years, and was later employed by A&L construction. He was a member of Hansonville Baptist Church
In addition to his parents, his wife, Eva Sue Hughes; brother, Estel Hughes; sisters, Jean Stevens and Thelma Cassell preceded him in death.
He is survived by his brothers, Glen Hughes, Richlands, VA and Roger Hughes, North Carolina; sisters, Margaret Shoemaker, Gate City, VA; Nancy Hughes, New York and Sue Hughes, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and his two cats, Rosie and Midnight.
At the request of Mr. Hughes there will be no formal visitation or service.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA.
Friends and Family are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
