Edna Elizabeth Houseright, 87, Gate City, VA (Kermit Community) passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at her home.
She was born in Scott County, VA on December 25, 1924 to William Enoch and Pearl Fields Houseright. She enjoyed working in her flowers and feeding the birds.
In addition to her parents, infant brothers, Grady and Walker Houseright; brothers, William John and Ellis Hassen Houseright; and a nephew, Terry "Hoss" Houseright preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Jean Houseright; nieces, Audrey "Tootsie" Bellamy and husband, Dale, Donna Shepard and husband, Jimmy, Diana Crabtree and husband, David; nephew, Bill Houseright and wife, Jenny; sisters-in-law, Grace Hensley and husband, Clayton, and Emmogene Houseright, all of Gate City, VA; along with several great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Daryle Houseright officiating. The Lee Smith Singers and Tim Thacker will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at the Roberts-Houseright Cemetery, Kermit, VA. Nephews and Great Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
