Brother Mike Hobson, 55, Ft. Blackmore, VA went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 6, 2015 at his residence.
Brother Mike was born in Russell County, VA on May 15, 1960. He was the son of the late William A. Hobson and Paulline Ray.
In addition to his parents, several sisters and brothers preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Starnes Sturgill Hobson, Ft. Blackmore, VA; daughters, Serenity Hobson, Ft. Blackmore, VA and Amber Hobson, Russell County, VA; step daughters, Kathy Graham and husband, Billy, Duffield, VA, Kristy Pickell and husband, Travis, Big Stone Gap, VA, and Kayla Casey and husband, Russell County, VA; step son, Jeff Hobson, Russell County, VA; several grandchildren and step grandchildren; mother-in-law, Nancy Hass, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sister, Tammy Barton, WVA and several other sisters; brother, Steve Hobson, Kingsport, TN and several other brothers; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Clinchport Church, Clinchport, VA and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 in the sanctuary of the church with Rev. Cecil Kern, Rev. L.W. “Red” Salling, and Brother Joe Roberts officiating. The Second Coming and Praise Duet will provide the music.
Burial will follow in the Starnes Cemetery, Clinchport, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
