Fred Leonard Hill, 66, Church Hill, TN passed away, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Hill was born in Sullivan County, TN on July 23, 1948 to the late James Milford and Rosie Marshall Hill.
Fred was a member of the Fincastle Lodge No. 33. He worked for the Kingsport Press in Kingsport, TN for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and his fishing buddies.
In addition to his parents, his brother, Ted L. Hill preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sister, Sherleen Strickler and husband, Mike, Kingsport, TN; brother, Larry R. Hill and wife, Aretta, Mt. Carmel, TN; nephews, Matthew Hill, Chris Hill, Shawn Hill and niece, Kimberly Noe.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Masonic Services will be conducted by the Fincaslte Masonic Lodge #33 of Dungannon, VA prior to the funeral services conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Andy Sensubaugh . Greg and Becky White will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all family and friends during our time of need. Special thanks to all doctors and nurses in the CCU at Wellmont Holston Valley.
