Samantha Jo Hess, 23, Kingsport, TN passed away, Monday, May 30, 2022.
Samantha was born in Kingsport, TN on November 10, 1998, and was the daughter of Bryan Lee and Rachel (Miller) Hess.
She was a 2017 graduate of Tennessee High, Bristol, TN. Samantha lived life by her rules.
Her maternal grandfather, Eddie Joe Miller preceded her in death.
Surviving are her parents, Bryan L., and Rachel (Miller) Hess; brother, C.J. Hess; paternal grandparents, Barry L., and Ileen Hess; maternal grandmother, Katherine Ruth (Elkins) Miller; aunt, Lesley (Hess) Thomas; cousins, Jacob Thomas and Zachary Thomas; maternal and paternal family members, Mary Alice McClellan, Linda Bobbitte, Donna Caldwell, Jennifer Davis, Julie Helms, Cheryl Wexler, Connie Redmond, and Bobby Hess; and several other extended family members, and many friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Franklin Cemetery, in the Bishop Town Community of Scott County, VA with Preacher Tim Arnold officiating.
Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery Saturday at 10:45 a.m. for the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Animal Shelter of Sullivan County, 380 Masengill Road, Blountville, TN 37617, or to the Marine Corp Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172, in Samantha Jo’s name.

Directions to Franklin Cemetery: go to Natural Tunnel Park, up the hill on (Bishoptown Road) look for 3176 Bishoptown Road, Duffield, VA 24244, go past about 300-400 yards, turn right at the gate (there will be a Gate City Funeral Home road sign there) turn right and stay on the road as it goes through the woods, will come out at the cemetery.
