Dennis was born in Baltimore, MD, on November 19, 1963, and was the son of Marie (Quillen) Helton and the late Edmond Lawrence Helton.
He was a talented carpenter.
Dennis is survived by his mother, Marie (Quillen) Helton, Gate City, VA, brother, Timothy Helton and wife, Kay, Kingsport, TN, nephew, Joshua Helton and wife, Amanda, Nickelsville, VA, a great niece, Rylee, and a great nephew, Gabriel, along with several aunts, uncles, and many friends.
It was the wish of Dennis to be cremated.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2002 at Mount Pleasant Church in the Midway community Scott County, VA.
