Jerry Wayne Head, 63, Duffield, VA passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Jerry was born in Scott County, VA on March 4, 1949 to the late Orville Raymond and Ruby Lee Rhoton Head.
He is survived by Ruby Head, Ft. Blackmore, VA and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Charlie Taylor and Rev. Jerry Hickman officiating. Dontha Walton will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Head Cemetery, Scott County, VA. Brian Meade, Raymond Edens, Arthur Stallard, Larry Jones, Delmer Rhoton, and Ed Rhoton will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday to go in procession to the graveside service.
