Nadine Ketron Haynes, Gate City, VA passed away, Tuesday, December 20, 2011.

Mrs. Haynes was born in the Natural Tunnel community on September 21, 1924, the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Claudia Frazier Catron. She was a lifelong resident of Scott County, VA, an original member of the Natural Tunnel Quartet, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gate City, VA. She was a homemaker and former employee of Tennessee Eastman.

She will also be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hobert Fay Haynes; Sisters; Georgia Light, Ruby Maness and Jeanette Stamper; and brothers, Sonny and Otis Ketron.

She is survived by her son Dennie L. Haynes, Gate City, VA; grandson, Dakota L. Haynes, Fall Branch, TN; sisters, Maude Anne McNew, Blountville, TN, Helen Ketron Gilley, Kingsport, TN, and Kacellia and husband Clinton Hensley, Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Dr. Roc Collins and the Rev. Jeff DeBoard officiating. Judy McConnell and Dennie Haynes will provide the music.

Burial will follow at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Donnie Haynes, Mark Houston, Dennie L. Haynes, Dakota Haynes, Johnny Conkin, J.W. Haynes, Lester Haynes, Todd Hensley, Tim Hensley, and Richard Davis will serve as pallbearers. Calvin Baker, Coy Arnold, Kelly Brooks, Chad Ball, Jerome Ball, Michael Barger, Thomas McKinley, Gary Baker and Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Gate City, VA will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice, or to the First Baptist Church of Gate City Building Fund, P.O. Box 97, Gate City, VA 24251.
