Janice Lynn Haynes, 60, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at her residence.
Born in Bristol, VA on May 1, 1953 to the late Cecil K. and Helen Lunsford Hunsucker, she was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School and was employed by NCO Group.
Janice was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, and loved working outdoors and raising flowers.
She had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gate City and attended Harvest Community Church.
Janice leaves behind a host of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, her brother, Allen K. Hunsucker preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Chad Ball and wife, Heather, Fall Branch, TN, Jerome Ball and wife, Amanda, Kingsport, TN, and Dakota Haynes and wife, Miranda, Fall Branch, TN; granddaughter, Haley E. Ball; step granddaughter, Nevaeh H. Slaughter; sisters, Beverly Coffey and husband, Roy, Fall Branch, TN, Judith Jones and husband, George, Deltona, FL, and Barbara Good, Blountville, TN; Clyde Denver Ball, father of Chad and Jerome, Kingsport, TN and Dennie L. Haynes, father of Dakota Haynes; 3 nieces; 3 nephews; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2013 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Roc Collins officiating. Kevin Wilson will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service as Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Dennie Haynes and Gary and Sarita Moore will provide the music at the graveside service. Dennie L. Haynes, Paul White, Paul Hyatt, Jesse Bales, Donnie Haynes and Dakota Haynes will serve as pallbearers. Chad Ball, Gary Moore, Keith Irwin, Roy Coffey, Larry Coffey, and Ronnie Coffey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family wishes to convey a special thank you to her dedicated caregivers, Dennie L. Haynes, Beverly Coffey and Barbara Good; and to Dr. Alton Blow, Sonia, and Christina; and to the staff of Caris Health Care for all of their love and support during this difficult time.
