Dearl Lynn Hass – Gate City, VA

Dearl Lynn Hass, 69, Gate City, VA passed away, Sunday, November 10, 2019 at his home.
Dearl was born in Scott County, VA on April 19, 1950 to the late Clifford and Sallie Mae (Darnell) Hass. He was a coal miner and attended Copper Creek Community Church.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, his infant brother, James Ferrell Hass; sister-in-law, Faye Hass; and brothers-in-law, Glenn Lane and Sherman K. “Buddy” Lane preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ann Hass, Gate City, VA; daughter, Connie Griffin and husband, Bo, Gate City, VA; special companion, Dakota siblings, Sherrill Hass and wife Pauline; Murrill Hass ; Marcella Osborne and husband Hobart; Earl Hass and wife Ilene, Rita Perry and husband James; Gary Hass and wife Linda; Leon Hass and wife Brenda; Benny Hass and wife Kathy; Denny Hass and wife Donna; Phillip Hass, and Kenny Flanary and wife, Peggy; sisters-in-law, Jean Hass; Erma Lane, and June Lane; brother-in-law, Dennie Lane and wife, Nancy; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends anytime at the residence of his daughter.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019 with Brother Mike Gilliam officiating at the Strong Cemetery, Gate City, VA. The Hass family will provide the music.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Nieces will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Frank Light, John Brickey, Dominic Nickels, and Billy Jack Cox and to also express their appreciation for all of the kindness that has been shown during Dearl’s illness, and for all the prayers, calls, and visits.
