Nannie Elizabeth Hash – Duffield, VA
Nannie Elizabeth Hash, 83, Duffield, VA passed away, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side.
Nannie was born in Scott County, VA on September 8, 1931; the daughter of the late Ernest and Emmer Bowen.
Her first husband, Ray Calton, second husband, Raymond Hash; grandsons, Robbie Jones and Paul Clark, Jr.; and brother, Ezra Bowen preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Bowen, Duffield, VA, Rethia Collier, Wise, VA, Linda Clark, Wise, VA, Bobby Calton and wife, Cindy, Duffield, VA, Shirley Beck, Big Stone Gap, VA, Debbie Graham and husband, Bill, Pound, VA and foster child, Joseph Smith, Kingsport, TN; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lula Hammock, Weber City, VA; Phyllis Bowen, Duffield, VA, and Rosie Calton and husband, David, Wise, VA; brothers, Donald Bowen and wife, Rose, Duffield, VA and Denver Bowen and wife, Betty, Wise, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 5 -7 p.m. at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Lonnie Townsend officiating. Salley’s Chapel Quartet will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the Bowen Cemetery on Cliff Mountain, Duffield, VA. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home to go in procession to the graveside service.
