Harry Benjamin Stapleton, Jr.

Harry Benjamin Stapleton, Jr, 81, passed away, Monday, April 21, 2025, at Ridgecrest Manor, Duffield, VA.

Harry was born in Hiltons, VA, on April 3, 1944, to the late Harry Stapleton, Sr., and Clara (Falin) Stapleton.

In addition to his parents, his sister, Linda Sexton; half-sisters, Loretta Starnes and Polly Falin; and half-brothers, Charlie and Ed Stapleton preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his spouse Wilma Joan Stapleton; daughters, Stephanie Buttry (Chris), and Penny Shadrick (William); granddaughter, Hannah Dingus; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Eugene Sexton officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00a.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.

Wade Sexton, Jeff Sexton, Timmy Sexton, Kelly Sexton, Ray Sexton, and Donnie Bays will serve as pallbearers. Chris Buttry and William Shadrick will serve as honorary pallbearers.
