Mr. Roy G. Hall, 72, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Thursday, December 23, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Hall was born in Scott County, VA on August 10, 1938, son of the late Goman Andrew and Estille Avie Kerns Hall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Annie Akers and Ruby Cole, and brothers, Curtis Hall and Bobby Hall, and three infant brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Dingus Hall, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Catherine Hall, Roger and Kristine Hall, and Johnny and Shirley Hall, all of Ft. Blackmore, VA; grandchildren, Paige, Jeremy, Justice, Adriane, Austin, Brandon, Matthew , and Allex Hall; sisters, Bernice Dingus and husband, John, Kingsport, TN, Beulah Dingus and husband, Eugene, Kingsport, TN, and Edna Greene, Gate City, VA; brother, Clyde Hall and wife, Geneva, Ft. Blackmore, VA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, December 25, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. A eulogy will be given by Charles Puckett. Pine Grove Harmony, Sanders Quartet, and Otis Lawson will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the Dingus Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
