I am tired. I am weak. I am worn. Take my hand, Precious Lord, and lead me home.
Mildred Faye Hall, 67, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at her residence after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Hall was born in Scott County, VA on February 4, 1943, the daughter of the late Brady Kinkead and Irene Carter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Randy Lee Hall; two infant grandsons, Christopher and Calvin Engle, and half-sisters, Patsy Kinkead Cox and Corina Kindead Kinsler.
Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Billy R. Hall, of the home; daughters, Kathy Cox and husband, R.L. , Duffield, VA, Beulah Bowen, who was also her caregiver, and husband Jerry, Duffield, VA, Loretta Hall, Kingsport, TN, Colleen Engle and husband, Chris, Kingsport, TN, and her adopted daughter, Amber Hall of the home; sons, Ronnie R. Hall, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Mark Hall and wife, Carmella, Duffield, VA, and Billy J. Hall and fiancé, Christie, Gray, TN; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; uncle, Buford Ray Carter; her long time friends and sister and brother of the heart, Faye and Roy Hall, Ft. Blackmore, VA; good friends and good neighbors, W.C. and Doris Begley and Michael and Linda Brickey, all of Ft. Blackmore, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence . Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Charlie Taylor officiating. Pine Grove Harmony will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at the Carter Cemetery on Stoney Creek, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Ryan Brickey, Chuckey Hall, Matt Begley, Jeff Lawson, Jackie Laney, and Randy Davis will serve as pallbearers. Michael Kinkead and Larry Dotson will serve as honorary pallbeares.
