Rose Helen Grimm, 93, Gate City, VA passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Nova Health and Rehab Center, Weber City, VA.
Rose was born in Wise County, VA on July 12, 1925 to the late George and Della Shupe.
In addition to her parents; her beloved husband of 51 years, Glen Grimm; 5 brothers and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Wininger and husband, David, Yuma, VA; son, Jerry Grimm and wife, Ellen, Kingsport, TN; sister, Doris Robinson, Manassas, VA; grandchildren, David Grimm and wife, Monica, Kathy Bird and husband, Terry, Melissa Stahl and husband, Eric, Davida St. Martin and husband, John; step-grandchild, Jennifer Corbin and husband, Joel; great grandchildren, Tyler Bird and wife, Ashley, Kayla Bird, Glen Stahl, Sarah Grimm, Hannah Grimm, Ally St. Martin; step-great grandchildren, Olivia Corbin , Abby Corbin; great great grandchild, Keegan Bird; along with nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2019 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday,11:00a.m., April 30, 2019 at the Cowans Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne McCarty officiating
Burial will follow the service, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Lloyd Grimm, Ralph Bates, Ivan Moore, Tim Wininger, Bruce Jones and Gaylord Hill will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Cowans Branch Baptist Church or to a charity of your choosing.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Nova Health and Rehab and the Abingdon Ambulance Service.
