Luther Boyd Grigsby, 63, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Clintwood, VA September 8, 1946 to the late Willie Grigsby and Florean Salyers Grigsby.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Grigsby.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Grigsby, Nickelsville, VA; three sons, William "Bill" Grigsby and wife, Shelly, Syracuse, NY, Luther Grigsby, Jr., Buford, GA, Kenneth Lee Grigsby and wife, Becky, Kingsport, TN; siblings, Paul Grigsby and wife, Alice, Tazewell, VA, Gracie Stilner and husband, Denver, Grundy, VA, Richard Grigsby, VA and Kenneth Grigsby, Grundy, VA; host of grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Wolfe officiating.
Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Grigsby Family Cemetery, Little Duck Community. The family will meet at 11 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
