Mrs. Margaret Ruth "Peggy" (Maness) Griffin Gate City, VA joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Madiera Health Care Center, Cincinnati, Ohio surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born on August 31, 1935 and was a resident of Scott County, VA. She was a lifelong member of the Fairview Apostolic Church, Fairview, VA

In addition to her parents, Dewey and Eliza (Burke) Maness and brothers, Jim and Guy Maness preceded her in death.

She is survived by her dedicated husband, Elmer D. Griffin, Gate City, VA. She was a loving mother to Michael Dewayne Griffin and wife, Pam, Timothy C. Griffin and wife, Susie of Kingsport, TN, and her daughter Melody Griffin Hamilton and husband, Trevor of Cincinnati, OH. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Justin Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Meagan Tedder and husband, Joe, Stephanie Griffin, Jordan Griffin and wife, Amber, Alexander Hamilton and Logan Hamilton; and 4 great-grand children, Audrey Boggs, Laidan Barlow, Olivia Barlow, and Oakley Griffin; Peggy was the dear sister of Alma Jean Truelove, Kingsport, TN, and Joe Maness and wife, Geraldine and Billy Maness and wife, Ada, Blackwater, VA.

The family will receive friends at Gate City Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 4-7:30 PM. The funeral, a celebration of life service, will commence at 8:00 PM in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Lovelace and Brother Mike Vicars officiating. The Christian (Phil, Sherry, and Ben) Family and the Fairview Singers will provide the music.

The family will also receive friends at Dee and Peggy's home from 10 a.m. — 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2013 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., Friday to go in procession to the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Fairview Apostolic Church, % of Eddie McMillan, P.O. Box 703, Gate City, VA 24251.
