Mary Ann Greear, 46, entered into rest Tuesday, November 03, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born May 1, 1963 in Wise County, VA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Jean Greear.
Ms. Greear graduated from Coeburn High School in 1983. She attended the House of Refuge Baptist Church, Gate City, VA and also Independence House in Big Stone Gap.
Survivors include her father, Richard Greear, Gate City, VA; brothers, Avery and wife, Flora Greear, Coeburn, VA, Jimmy and wife, Patricia Greear, Coeburn, VA, Jerry and wife, Betty Greear, St. Paul, VA; sisters, Roma and husband, William Ramey, Gate City, VA, Carolyn and husband, David Mefford, St. Paul, VA; several nieces, nephews, host of friends, several aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home and anytime at the residence of father, Richard Greear. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Music will be provided by Gary Hunley, Johnny Smith, House of Refuge Choir and McKayla Carter.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Edwards Cemetery, Coeburn, VA. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
