Thomas "Tommy" Henry Graham, 48, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Tommy was born on August 12, 1960 in West Virginia. He was the son of the late Odell and Clara Graham.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jessie and William Graham. Tommy was a beloved husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Graham, Dungannon, VA; children, Sandra Graham and fiancé, Robert Short, Kingsport, TN, Kendle Graham and fiancé, Kevin Collins, Dungannon, VA; grandchildren, Whitney Short, Jayden Collins, and Tyler Short; special God children, Megan Peak and son, Payton Peak, Coeburn, VA, Summer Ely and son, Brayden Ely, Jonesville, VA; brothers, Donnie Graham, Gate City, VA, Billy Graham and fiancé Susie Roberts, Duffield, VA, Bruce Graham, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sisters, Audrey and Allen Murphy, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Dorothy Lane, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Linda and John Henry, Gate City, VA, Lois Lane, Gate City, VA; special friends, Phyllis Williams, Michael Grizzle, Melvin Cordle, Teresa Culbertson and family, Sue Peters, Rita Davis and Walter "Kay" Gibson; several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009 at Pendleton's Freewill Baptist Church, Ft. Blackmore, VA with Rev. James Mann and Pastor Clifford Pierson officiating. Music will be provided by Depending on Jesus Singers and Kenneth Warner.
Burial will follow the service at Dingus Family Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Collins, Jeffrey Burton, Mikey Finch, Robert Short, Bo Mullins, and Allen Murphy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Grizzle, Shawn Grizzle, Billy Baldwin, Bill Culbertson, Tyler Grizzle, Morgan Fritz, Keith Warner and Perry Quillen.
Gate City Funeral Home is serving the Graham family.
