Gitte (Mossin) Spivey, 64, Gate City, VA passed away, Monday, May 15, 2023, at her residence.

Gitte was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on July 28, 1958, and was the daughter of the late Ditlev Langgaard and Kirsten (Mossin) Josephsen.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Lonnie Ray Spivey, stepfather, Hans P. Josephsen, and a brother, Ole (Mossin) Langgaard preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brothers, Per Mossin Langgaard, Denmark, and IB Mossin Langgaard, and wife, Jytte, Denmark, brother-in-law, Mark Spivey, Gate City, VA, sister-in-law, Laura Spivey, Gate City, VA, nieces, Chelsea Baker, and husband, Eric, Gate City, VA, Irene Mossin Langgaard, Denmark, and Malene  Mossin Langgaard, Demark, nephews, Alex Spivey, and wife, Joanna, Gate City, VA, Martin Mossin Langgaard, Denmark, and Daniel Mossin Langgaard, Denmark, several great nieces and nephews, and a special best friend, Lisa Leonard, Gate City, VA.

A celebration of life will be conducted from 5-7p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the Holston View United Methodist Church. Services will begin at 7:00p.m., with Rev. Chuck Griffin officiating.
