Minnie Saul Gilliam – Kingsport, TN
Mildred “Minnie” Louise Saul Gilliam, 60, Kingsport, TN passed away, Monday, March 23, 2015 at the residence of her brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Pam Saul in Astor, FL.
Minnie was born in Scott County, VA on June 3, 1954 to the late Charlie and Thelma Estep Saul.
She was a member of The Bible Way Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Clarence Gilliam and sister, Blanch Saul preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sisters, Helen Castle, Rogersville, TN, Rita Carol McConnell, Dungannon, VA, Annie Saul, Astor, FL, and; brothers, Junior Saul and wife, Beulah Faye, Gate City, VA, Everett Saul, Dungannon, VA, James Fred “Ted” Saul and wife, Pam, Dungannon, VA, J. C. Saul and wife, Nina, Dungannon, VA, and Donnie Saul and wife, Amy, Ft. Blackmore, VA; the love of her life, her grandson, Brentyn “Bubby” Parker, Knoxville, TN; very special cousin, Pat McCoy, Astor, FL; very special friend, Mike McConnell, Gate City, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Pam Saul. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Rick Vannoy, Rev. Wayne Baker and Pastor Travis Boling officiating. The Bible Way Church Choir will provide the music.
Burial will follow at the Saul Cemetery, Dungannon, VA. Kelly McConnell, Dale McConnell, J.J. (Randy) Saul, Freddie Saul, Donnie Saul (Jr.), Erik Davis, Travis Barner, and Randy Davis will serve as pallbearers. Payton Davis, Hunter Davis, and Michael J. Saul will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family wishes to convey a very special thank you to her “sisters”, Pam and Carol; Pat McCoy, Jackie Saul, and the staff of Cornerstone Hospice for their care of Minnie.
