Mark Douglas Gilliam, 47, Gate City, VA passed away, Monday, January 29, 2018 at his residence.
Mark was born in Sullivan County, TN on February 1, 1970. He was the son of the late Gary Douglas and Lindy Lou (Bowen) Gilliam.
He is survived by his son, Adam Gilliam; sister, Gretta Gilliam; brother, Brian Gilliam; uncle, Jerry Bowen; aunts, Ada Jean McNew and Betty Gilliam; special friends, Jimmy and Marie Lane, Brad Frazier, Donna Jackson and Ricky Falin; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Taylor Cemetery on Cliff Mountain in Scott County, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
