Carroll "C.H." Gillenwater, Jr., 40, entered into rest Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Sullivan County, TN April 1, 1968. He attended Midway Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Gillenwater.
Survivors include his parents, Carroll and Judy Gibson Gillenwater, Gate City, VA; brothers, Josh and Jeannie Gillenwater, Matthew Gillenwaer and Trinity and Lisa Gillenwater, all of Gate City, VA; sister, Rhonda and Ricky Sons, Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Charlie Taylor officiating. Music will be provided by the Clinch River Boys and the Holder Family.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Gillenwater Family Cemetery, Midway Community. The family will meet at 10 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul Baldwin, Larry Langrell, Bobby Wallen, Bobby Skeens, Ricky Taylor, Glynn McGee, Henry Smith, Andy Smith, Jerry Williams and Steven Sons.
Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.
